How to Cut a Pineapple

Fresh pineapple is so sweet and delicious. Canned pineapple doesn’t even come close. The closest I have ever tasted is frozen pineapple, and that is because they are frozen as soon as they are picked and cut up.
But the thought of actually cutting one up can make it seem like it is not worth the trouble.
It absolutely is worth the trouble. In fact, it really is not difficult at all. Not only that, if you buy them on sale, it could very well be cheaper than buying canned or frozen.
If you do find them on sale, buy a few so that you can cut them up and freeze them.
- Cut up the pineapple
- Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper and lay out the pineapple pieces in a single layer
- Put the sheet in the freezer until the pineapple is frozen
- Put the frozen pineapple in a freezer safe container or bag and label it with the date.
